The Unit Coaching Team is seeking volunteers! Join us once a month to help your neighbor pack, troop, or crew & enjoy the rewarding experience of mentoring.
The Unit Coaching Team is seeking volunteers to be a 1-FOR-1 Unit Coach to serve just ONE nearby Pack, Troop, or Crew. The 1-FOR-1 Unit Coach is: A friend to the unit, Experienced with the same type of unit (Pack, Troop or Crew), A mentor to the adult leaders, A good listener, Guided by Journey To Excellence (JTE) principles.

What does a 1-FOR-1 Unit Coach do?
- Checks-in once a month with their neighbor unit by email, phone, text (i.e.: Cubmaster, Scoutmaster, etc.)
- Visits their unit at a meeting, activity or event 6-8 times per year
- Brings questions back to the Unit Coaching Team leaders
- Makes journal entries in Online system
- Reviews “Before & After” JTE principles
1-FOR-1 Unit Coaches benefit from ongoing training from our Unit Coaching Team, enhancing their coaching skills & bringing back valuable best practices to their unit. They also have a supportive network of Unit Coaches & experienced leaders across Packs, Troops, & Crews, including Cubmasters, Den Leaders, Scoutmasters, Venturing Advisors, Committee Chairs, and more!
