MOWW Annual Youth Leadership Conference – Free Leadership Opportunity June 8–12
The Military Order of World Wars (MOWW) will host its annual Youth Leadership Conference (YLC) from June 8–12 at Papago Park Army National Guard Reserve in Phoenix.
This multi-day leadership conference is FREE to qualified high school students, and only 60 spots are available statewide. The conference is part of MOWW’s Patriotic Education Program, which focuses on youth education, leadership development, and civic engagement.
During the conference, students participate in interactive classes led by experienced instructors and team leaders. The program emphasizes:
Leadership development (50%) – Building practical leadership skills through participatory activities and teamwork
Civics and American heritage (30%) – Exploring U.S. government, history, the Constitution, patriotism, and Americanism
Free enterprise and economics (20%) – Learning about the U.S. economic system and its role in society
The conference often partners with organizations such as Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership, National Sojourners, and Joe Foss Institute to provide a well-rounded leadership experience.
Scouts and other high school students interested in strengthening their leadership skills and learning more about civic responsibility are encouraged to apply.
