Build Your Outdoor Leadership Skills This Fall: IOLS & BALOO Training

Combined Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills (IOLS) and Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) training, happening September 26–27, 2026, at Camp Raymond.

Whether you're a Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, Cubmaster, or Pack/Den Leader, this hands-on weekend is designed to help you gain the outdoor skills and confidence needed to deliver safe, exciting, and successful Scouting adventures.

IOLS provides the outdoor skills required for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters, while BALOO prepares Cub Scout leaders to plan and lead pack camping experiences. Participants will learn through practical, outdoor instruction in a fun and supportive environment.

Before You Register

Anyone attending the BALOO portion must complete the required online BALOO training at my.scouting.org before the course.

Planning to arrive early? Friday night camping is available. If you'd like to camp Friday evening, be sure to indicate that during registration.
