If you haven't updated your Pack's Be A Scout Pin, now is the time! The addition of new fields and updates made to the Be A Scout Pins have proven to be an extremely effective way to answer some of the most basic. and most important, questions families have when they are looking for Scouting. From what your Pack offers to the information families need to help them decide where to join, your pin is often the first opportunity you have to make a great impression. Across the country, these updates have received overwhelmingly positive feedback and are helping families find the Pack that is the right fit for them. If you haven't updated your pin yet, don't miss this opportunity! Update it now. But updating your pin is only half of the equation. Someone from your Pack needs to take ownership of following up with every interested family; and do it quickly! Think about the last time you were excited about trying something new. You were interested right then. Every hour we wait to respond is another hour that family has to keep looking. A quick, personal response doesn't just increase the chance that a family joins, it shows them that we care about them, their family, and their child's experience. Families are looking for fun, friendships, and new adventures, and Cub Scouting has all of that waiting for them. Your Pack's role, and even responsibility, is to help them take that first step. Update your Be A Scout Pin, assign someone to own the follow-up, and make sure every interested family gets a personal response as quickly as possible.
